This is another must-have for the native garden.  Selfheal is a member of the mint family.  It will spread to form a short mat.  It is a good plant to add to your lawn as it can be mowed.  It is also good for "green mulch" or "living mulch" between other garden plants since it is short and unassuming.  Selfheal is used in traditional medicine for a variety of ailments.
