This is certainly not the prettiest or flashiest plant in the garden, in fact it's kind of weedy, but it does attract lots of pollinators. It has very small red/green flowers atop long spikes that are of special value to native bees and attract hummingbirds. It gets its common name 'figwort' due to its traditional use in treating hemorrhoids or "figs". Other traditional uses include treatment for tuberculosis, insomnia, and skin conditions.
