This might be my favorite goldenrod. It snuck into my garden as a volunteer. I even found it growing in the cracks of my porch steps. It is a smaller goldenrod and does well in shade. I find it to be completely covered in all sorts of pollinators in the fall. I love its delicate arches of yellow flowers.
(And no, goldenrods do not cause hayfever. They have heavy, sticky pollen that does not get airborn. Ragweed is usually the culprit of fall allergies.)
