This plant is often called Brown Eyed Susan. To me, it is a classic prairie plant and reminds me of camping in Oklahoma. It does well here in New England too. Do beware the seeds. To say it is a prolific seeder may be an understatment. I once had a garden get completely overwhelmed with hundreds of these babies. Clip the spent flowers to keep them from going to seed to control its spread.
